Hai Rabindranath

 “Bingsho shatabdite Manusher shoker ayu borojor ekbochor” not this was not the line from Rabindranath.It was from the poem of Nazim Hikmat translated by great Subhash Mukherji.Which means in 20^th Century grief for demise for any person lasts  maximum a year. Tagore was obviously greater than Nazim at least.That is why he ruled for 150 years despite of tremendous adversities. Last year all leading political personalities celebrated 150 years his birth.Tagore must have been very happy but did not know this year will be last of his. So Tagore will be terribly upset this year.

Being born in Zamindar family he had exceptional quality of reading mind of people. Nobody has described so nicely about Bengali culture.”Kagaj nere uchcha sware political torko kore,Janale diye poshiche ghore batash jhuru jhur.” This was from Duronto Asha.Which means Bengalis are bent on shouting raising newspapers, never notice in wind of outside entering &giving call to change. This was written during freedom struggle but it is so relevant in today’s world in word and spirit.

During independence Bengalis took leading role to uproot devils of British rule.The unite force was so dangerous that Lord Karjon had to divide Bengal to elongate thir stay in India. India got freedom ultimately much later than anticipated. New political Center in Delhi made sure that Bengalis participation at the power center is minimum. Then came emergency which evolved new sense of upsurge in peoples’ mind. Most interesting incident took place is replacement of Ganashangeet defeating Rabindrashangeet. In every meeting or function these songs replaced our tradition. But Since Bengalis are”Tabla bnaya kolete tene badye bhorpur”- Tagore one thing remained ritual,Bengalis remembered the great man during 25 she boishakh to 22she shraban.

In 2009 after 34 years of left rule a new term took birth in the middle of intellectuals.Which is “Amra” & “Ora” which is “We” and “Them”.Entire Bengal is politicalised nowadays. Everybody thinks they are true flag bearer of Bengali culture. Actual fact is that let it be Bangla Academy,Lokonatya Shakha(Branch),Natya academy or Shangeet academy all office bearers are threatened to lose their positions now. “Amra” feels “Ora” will take over.”Ora” sees an opportunity into it. So Rabindranath is forgotten. Everybody is keen to know the election result first than to remember Rabindranath. Rabindrajayanti comes on 9^th May and election result on 13^th May. In the completion year of 150 year of birth celebration Bengal should have celebrated in Gala way but only few people like me who does not belong to “Amra” or “Ora” will remember him. Others will be busy in anticipation; some of them may learn a few tricks for making bomb to prepare for 13^th..

For the 1^st tme Tagore must be thinking that Lord Kaqrjon did a great job dividing Bengal. At least Rabindranath will be remembered there with due respect. I fear the whole tradition of culture in Bengal is getting spoiled. Politics is getting better of Nationalism. Nobody talks about development but destruction.New Rabindranath can not be found if we do not teach youngsters to respect people who are the pillars of culture.

My Howrah

                                              

I am excited.Since 3^rd May is the day when my dear people of Howrah district will vote. My father worked whole life for Bengal Engineering college.My grand father was exstudent there ,as my eldest brother .Unfortunately the Deemed University nowadays is not represented by anyany state or Central committee leader of any party except BJP.Mr.Tathagata Roy was student of the college. He became GM of Metro Rail and retired as Professor of Jadavpur University. Why I am telling this is that nobody except Mr.Roy  will  understand pain of having seen gradual destruction of the Howrah. All who is not even associated with Howrah know that the college is almost everyday on news for student unrest. But the college was model of staff & student happy relationship for decades rather to say almost two centuries. The college has produced legendary Power minister in Dr,Shankar Sen, who has taken West Bengal out from menace of Load Shedding. The state was gasping when he touched his magic stick. Understandably even he was humiliated in Left Front. He left Ministry.Sadly he is still consultant for energy & electricity for many states except West Bengal.

Howrah has produced MPs and MLAs from Congress & Left Front every election since 1947 but only to see once economically buzzing city die.GKW shifted their base,so nearly 30000 families became jobless. Economy of South Howarah was primarily dependent on this institution but no political leaders tried stop them or find a replacement for the. All the factories across ganges forced to close primarily due to left created labour problem,nobody bothered.Be it MallikFatak,Shibpur or Kadamtalla,all the roads remained of same width as it was in 1947.But people increase by 4 times so the conveyeance. As a result of this City is now like a hell. You do not know when to return after you enter.

Howrah should be thankful to only Prime Minister of India Mr.Atal Bihari Vajpayee.District never produced a single MLA or MP of BJP from district.But Vajpayeeji with his vision of infrastructural development produced highways interlinking entire district with 2^nd Hooghly bridge during short term during NDA.It is now showing only lifeline to My Howrah..This infrastructural huge development slowly bringing some small investments in the place.His vision showed BJP does not work for the party but for the people. I hope other parties will learn from BJP. I wonder what speed in which the place will develop if the people of Howrah send representatives from BJP here.

So I request you my friends of Howrah to decide for the development and elect our BJP candidates all across the district on 3^rd of May.

Corruption

I have seen nationwide agitation over corruption when Anna Hazare was on fast. Entire nation was on boil. Every networking page was full of strong sentiments towards corruption at the highest level. But I am not having statistics how many people of Bengal participated in it.How can be a state of India so indifferent to a worst threat India has ever witnessed after independence. Is it a forgone conclusion that Bengalis are giving full license to them to whatever they like? I am sure it is not. Kind of cultural growth Bengal has always witnessed since the time of independence is on the departure. A community feelings has set in.Seems little bothered about how the other part of the country is progressing. This state has produced maximum number of revolutionaries. While people like Netaji had tormented morale of British by mere strategy, people like Sir Ashutosh Mukherji always saved thousands freedom strugglers from shroud British by staying within the system? His son Late Shymaprashad Mukherji carried on that sentiments and preferred being a martyr in Kashmir. Is the ecucation system of Bengal is missing the core issue of Nationalism?

People will remember Mr.LK Advani repeatedly raised the issue of blackmoney stashed abroad during last Loksabha election. Before that we have seen even a Government illegally winning trust vote by only money power.Who was the speaker at that time? Shamefully a Bengali Mr.Sometnath Mukherji. Arguably the best Lawyer in the recent time.He made little effort to investigate the matter. When Mr.Julian Assange off Wikileaks,whose revelations  caused downfall of Governments of Australlia,England & even US confirmed it our Prime Minister ridiculed the nation by denying it. Question is why our law will continue to be fragile,why people holding high office can not be investigated? When Anna Hazare raise question about inappropriate law the same people will continue to use all power to stop the bill? Who knows the money of Hasan Ali is being used to ensure survival of trust vote? The same money is used to stop hanging of Afzal Guru?Election commission has openly stated in Press conference that they have seized 7.2 Crores of money during ongoing assembly election. Who know how many they could not resist to float around? How long we will just sit and watch?

After winning last election of Loksabha it seems Manmohan Singh has given free licence to his cabinet ministers to practice corruption. CWG,2G,Adarsh and Swiss bank accounts holding almost budget of nearly four states? One minister is behind bar but his earned black money floated around freely during election of Tamilnadu recently. Each voter rewarded for voting for ruling alliance.Most surprisingly the media channels showed footage only after completion of election. It gives clear indication that most channels are bought by the huge money earned by the corruption.

Today Julian Assange has declared that he has seen Indian names in the list of A/c holders in Swiss bank.He has also said that attempts are being made to shut his mouth by Indian authorities. But Pranab is desperate not take suitable action.It only shows that number of prominent names who are very close to his party are in the list.Country has seen Anderson being flown out of the country after Bhopal tragedy.Country has seen wrong full playing with law during Reliance sponsored Cricket world cup but the fun is that every time when there is massive corruption in country we had only one Finance Minister Mr.Pranab Mukherji.

Today we have witnessed kind of anger in the common people when Kalmadi received a shoe on his face. It happened twice before on ministers of UPA govt. They enjoy shoes being thrown at them. But the question remains same. We have seen Shanglu committee report.The report clearly implicated Chief Minister of Delhi. 70000 crore out of turn allocation made by the Prime Minister itself. So how long will tolerate these most corrupt persons as we are not having enough law to punish them.

I hope people of Bengal will proactively react in this election and resist these corrupt people come into the power.

Please ensure BJP Government rules Bengal to ensure smooth governance, industrialization and most importantly corruption free environment.

A vote which will dissappoint many

Trinamul ,I do not know whether it should be called a party or not but most certainly to be disappointed most on the night of counting i.e.13.5.If one looks at the list of candidates in the present election of TMC it shows how bluntly it has chosen 2/3 rd of the candidates who are related to one another.I am surprised to find how the workers of the party are tolerating these candidates.They have worked for the party for a decade,their friends have lost lives in some areas.Who killed their friends Late Mr.Jyoti Basu at Esplanade,who became chief patron of the leader of the party.They consider Nandigram is the rise of their party.Indeed that was ghastly act like General Dyer by left front Government. Who was the General Dyer this time? Mr.Manish Gupta who is even contesting election on the party ticket whose workers were killed.So the party is showing even before getting any power that they reward those who kill their party workers. So it is not suprising that partyment who built the party for decade by brick by brick is ignored by thier own leader.
In My constituency Maheshtalla nobody knew a person called Dulal Das stays in the area.He was big buisnessman & staying mainly in North Bengal.Suddenly I heard he is fighting councillor election from my ward.Our ward is Congress won ward for years so it is not suprise that he won election. Then came 2006 he even got ticket from Congress as candidate for Assembly election.He faught against CPM,TMC,BJP candidates and he lost his deposit. What happened then? He was desciple of Pranab & Somen in Congress.So when Somen joined TMC he also entered with bag & baggage.Last Municipal election he became chairman with the blessings of Somen and his wife is candidate for this year's assembly election.Party workers are fuming like anything but just holding on.Their leader with her money power from 2G & Her mentor Jyoti Basu's closest companion Tutu Bose has managed to buy number of channels this time.Those channels expectedly projecting her as CM as already.So the party workers are silent this time. But what will happen after election is predictable. BJP has grown considerably by this time in most northern districts like Jalpaiguri,Murshidabad,Malda.Party has grown in Nadia over the years but those channels are ignoring facts of this growth,because if they project that than the false dream of ruling the state will be vanished.BJP has grown considerably in Northern part of Kolkata and large part of South 24 Pargana.So it is obvious when the result will be out on 13.5,the party which will start hooliganism on street is TMC.
But I am amused most what they are saying in meetings.They are calling BJP a divisive force.They need to remind that when Accord signed with Ghising in 1984 with Mamata's Mentor Jyoti Basu & Ghisingh with Rajiv Gandhi regarding hill council,she herself was the minister at the Center. In this accord "gradual empowerment of people's political aspiration" was assured.If one reads the accord it tells how they were aasured and how they have right to think to be fooled.BJP was not he party in 1984 and not now as well By the way it is none of my buisness as the party which is strong in hills has told that they are with Mamata in 1984 as well as now.
TMC, the amount of damage is done by the time when you had only one MP in the parliament in Singur has long impact in Bengal. No investor will come here for atleast 15 years from now. Be clear now & tell the people who had funded you that time.It is very necessary to know for the future.
In the end I must tell you that kind of industrial growth Karnataka(Which was known to be a industrial state earlier) has given this year,kind of employment Gujrat had created last ten years & kind of peace and development Bihar has shown in last five years amply reflects why people should only belive and vote for BJP only.I request you all to do so.
