100 & Nandan

20th May 2011,History created by Ms.Mamata Banerjii by removing 35 years of Left rule.Mamata declared instantly that she has won a freedom struggle.Whatever may be the observation She had won the election & had every right to express her satisfaction.But the irony is Tathya Kendra area which is center of cultural activity was saddened since the area was center of activity of past CM Mr.Budhdhdeb Bhattacharya..This campus consists state owned Cinema hall Nandan,Rabindra Sadan,Shishir Mancha,Gaganendra pradarshanshala and Academy of fine arts. This area is always buzzing and most students of nearby area spend time here.Entire cultural body resigned and new CM appointed new panel of cultural Masters to rule the area. Unfortunately just after that from 1st of June Nandan got closed for renovation of roof ceiling. We all aware of work culture of West Bengal.So on the day entire country celebrated freedom from red tape bureaucracy & corrption on 27.8.2011 when I eventually reached there I found no work progress is being made and the Nandan is still  having deserted look even after 100 days of assuming office of Mamata Bannerjii. It is a terrible scene.100 is a special number for all of us. Cricket obsessed India celebrate every 100 of cricketers.Even Run Machine keenly waits for his 100th 100.But the culture crazy Bengal does not make any progress even after 100 days.Entire area is miserable. In fact one will cry in shame.it is looking like a simple dust bin.Plastic cups are dumped every where,dried leaves saying that in hundred days no sweeper not even tried to clean the area. Who will say the cultural minister and the CM of the state stays just 100 yard far from that area. Once jokes were made Jyoti Basu had 2 creation in his entire life.Ist his Chanda,his son and the other is Nandan.CM is health minister of the state as well.She hit headlines of every papers making surprise visits to hospitals.I wonder when most minister stays within 3 KM from the most important area,how this mismanagement can get unnoticed. I walked a few steps toward Academy,I found very difficult going through unhygenic dirt &  bad stint.Reaching Academy I noticed there is big poster of Education Minister of State Mr.Bratyo Basu.Academy will hold a drama written and directed by him. Most famous stage actors will play in that special drama.I understood writer,director,actor and Now minister comes in that area regularly but he has overlooked uncomfortable things. Rabindra Sadan is open.Even state sponsored Nazrul celebration is going on.Nandan is the key hall for film producers of Bengal as good spectators come there.I asked the guard,when the hall will open. The person expressed ignorance but informed that "not very soon.".Bengal Government earn substantial amount of revenue. But who care for the Government revenue here.? 

I moved towards Gaganendra Pradarshan shala,An art Gallery. Nehru Childrens Museum is organising an wonder full exhibition of kids' painting. Children from this organisation earn national awards from center and other parts of India. People generally gets glued seeing their art and wonder why my kid is not like them. But the exhibition is also having very few takers.Since the spectators of Nandan are not coming,the exhibition not getting much onlookers..I found really surprising art of Ali Naqvi & Ume hasnat 14 & 11 yaars of old.Seeing me attracted their teacher Mr.Biswas came to me.He informed both these wonder kids are brother and sister. Each and every participant are amazing. Exhibition started on 26.8 and will end tomorrow. These pieces are being sold at Rs.2500.Seeing their work I will be shocked it they do not become star painters of Bengal and make us proud.
So my sincere request to all of you to visit exhibition knowing fully well that Nandan will be closed indefinitely.
