Tragedy 1) The ruling Biju Janata Dal does not belong to ruling or opposition bench at Center
Tragedy 2) Government at the Center needs to pull them up from the mess of self inflicted corruption & infighting.They are not looking anywhere
Tragedy 3)Flood is not the calamity like Earthquake or cloudburst that keeps unaware and destroy in seconds.But it slowly slips into the mind that ,we will have to bear this for sometime.
Tragedy 4) When you have neighbors who does not have idea or knowledge of topography of your state and how your danger can affect them.
Yes I am talking about flood in Orissa which has kept my neighboring state spending sleepless nights.Orissa has started feeling effect of flood for nearly one month now but readers will hardly find any major space allocated for this in media. The only reason is that media has better things to do for which their shop runs well.On 11th September media flashed for once that 2600 villages under water and 11 lakh affected.But we forgot their plight as Raja & Chidambaram has created more tragedy for themselves and can change power situation at center.We forgot because We had a earthquake in a state where Party at the ruling Govt in center rules. So they had a good fortune of getting CM of neighboring state and Prince of ruling dynasty.Within 24 hours a day loss is being calculated and flashed in all media.But who will see the loss of Millions of poor people who are fighting this for a long month? They also did not asked why the CM and the Prince have not visited their place. Sikkim has already got some help monetarily but what about them? Now since there is earthquake now I want to remind my beloved friends that today the no. of villages affected touched 3003 and nearly 20 Lakh people affected.Does this touch your heart?
I want to remind leader of the neighboring state that you may not be specialist in Geography,which many people are not.But you should know that Orissa is interlinked with sea and with rail routes with your states.Your Jungle Mahal or West Midnapore is already enjoying little bit of flood but if situation of Orissa worsens it will sweep atleast 4 districts of yours. So it may not bring votes to your theatrical party but it will ave your state during Puja celebration and you will get blessings of 20 Lakh marooned poor people.
So my request to all NGOs with folded hand & Governments of Bengal and Jharkhand to help them.
