The process of sanitizing started long back. It started with direct war with Iraq.Saddam Hussain was the first hero for the Offensive Muslim world. Innumerable Muslim parents kept their child’s name after him. His main enemies were from another Muslim countryIran. It is said he assisted General Ahmed Hassan al-Bakr
,his cousin brother to take over power in 1970,but his brother also died in mysterious manner in 1979.Most historians points finger towards him for his brother’s death. He openly idolized former soviet dictator Joseph Stalin. In July 1978, he had his government issue a memorandum decreeing that anyone whose ideas came into conflict with those of the Baath Party leadership would be subject to summary execution. He identified two dominant ethnicities Arabs in south and central Iraq & Kurds in the north and northeast are threats to Iraq. His main target were these ethnic cleansing. The Baath Party was dominated by Sunni Muslims, who made up only about one-third of Iraq’s general population; the other two-thirds was made up of Shiite Muslims, Shiism also happening to be the official religion of Iran. Throughout Hussein’s tenure, and especially during the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988), he saw the marginalization and eventual elimination of Shiism as a necessary goal in the Arabization process, by whichIraqwould purge itself of all perceived Iranian influence.
What were the other crimes done by him? Innumerable books have been written on this.
Hussein’s large-scale atrocities took place during the 1980s and early 1990s, his tenure was also characterized by day-to-day atrocities that attracted less notice. Wartime rhetoric regarding Hussein’s “rape rooms,” death by torture, decisions to slaughter the children of political enemies, and the casual machine-gunning of peaceful protesters accurately reflected the day-to-day policies of Saddam Hussein’s regime. Hussein was no misunderstood despotic “madman.” He was a monster, a butcher, a brutal tyrant, a genocidal racist–he was all of this, and more. Saddam Hussein was unquestionably one of the most brutal dictators of the 20th century. The most funny thing I that all these atrocities he did with theUSsupport till 1991. US became his enemy after that. Analysts feel complete destruction of USSR started the battle of supremacy between Saddam & US to rule the world. Long battle ,large number of loss of life & finally he was caught.
Finally, former Iraqi president 69 year old Saddam Hussein was hanged in the predawn hours of Saturday, Dec. 30,2006 for crimes against humanity in the mass murder of Shiite men and boys in the 1980s, sent to the gallows by a government backed by the United States and led by Shiite Muslims who had been oppressed during his rule.
That was the Victory of Bush..Lot of people around the world said lot of things against him, shoes thrown at him. Becuase he had inflicted first wound at Islamic militancy. Finally Laden destructed twin tower and the US economy & he lost the power Obama took over.Obama started with so many sympathetic talks fro the Muslims but the economy resulted loss of job and his population started getting eroded. So he had become bigger Bush to win election and he fulfilled the requirement. UN became almost a baby of US. Muslims were destined to fight against each other due to their own conflicts but his administration orchestrated uprising in entire middle east with full Air and Military support. His intention was to get supremacy of oil of middle east.
A vegetable seller called Mohamed Bouazizi made suicide and after that series of events happened and turned into huge uprising inEgypt..Very difficult to understand how a small issue like this can turn up into huge protest and removal of dictator without any external support. Hosni Mubarak ruled for 36 years but 18 days of revolution threw him out of power. This happened in February 2011.
Then came the biggest event in Obama’s tenure. Killing of Osama bin Laden. He was their enemy number one. On 1st May killing of Osama bin Laden was as important as that of Saddam, probably even more. Since he had instituted direct war against US, the attack had to be direct. Exemplarily orchestrated attack in the military base ofPakistan reflected how the world has become very small to US. They can do whatever they want, wherever the enemy is. 60 kilometer away from capital ofPakistan,in a house which has worth around $1 million dollars, the most dreaded terrorist tracked down and killed. But still nobody is being able to throw shoes at Obama yet because all around the world Laden was identified as the creator of Alqeda. He never headed any state power Center but terrorized almost every state with his power. Laden was son of Saudi billionaire but never done any ethical business, done only business of murders. Like Saddam he became voice of all offenders in every state.
Then came the month of September.Abu Hafs al-shahiri was killed in waziristan of Pakistan. He was the key exceutionist of plans but how he was killed is still kept secret. After the second killing US Pakistan relationship has taken a new dimension. They have openly offensive against each other like never before
Then came the event of yesterday, who was equally adamant like Saddam.. New yourk times described, “Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, the erratic, provocative dictator who ruled Libya for 42 years, crushing opponents at home while cultivating the wardrobe and looks befitting an aging rock star, met a violent and vengeful death Thursday in the hands of the Libyan forces that drove him from power.” But the question is Libyans could not do it by themselves unless they got support militarily from outside. UN never tell the truth but they know they have supported tacidly to expedite exit of this with equal partnership of US. What this death implies this implies full stop to big leaders in Muslim World, who can stand up against US. Is this implies end of Islamic terrorism. Surely it will go down slowly and steadily.US should be very clear that they should not first create such leaders,so that killing becomes necessary.
Obama is clearly a big winner against Bush. 2011 will be remembered historically
