There were instances like 2007 and 2008 when Durga Puja was completed in 3 days.This year we got a rare opportunity.We got virtually 6 day festivity of Durga Puja. Panchami was on saturday.Shoshthi was on sunday.So those people who rarely go out of their own festivities in their local places have come out the streets.What amaze me in this festivity is that people forget what they earn,how they earn,what are problems of their life but jump into celebrations. 

They only realize on the day of Dashami that their problem is not solved a bit and tomorrow they will have to bear the burden of uncertainty again.So sadism grips. My celebration also centers around my family like everybody else.I had a precondition from my daughters about which area is to be covered this year.Suddenly we get plenty of energy this time and walk miles after miles to see different idols.Kolkata turns out to be a city of heaven,with colorful dresses,cheerful faces and wonderfully crafty creation all around. The kind of creativity we show this time reflects our creativity.But it saddens me that this creativity is not used to create jobs in West Bengal.People gets carried away by vindictive politics of fulfilling personal goal and stop all doors of development.

I am a spiritual man more than probably one requires.Mother Durga had come this year by elephant.Which tells us that this will give us plenty of wealth.I only hope that the wealth is equally distributed among citizens but not fills selective persons pockets.
